1888-O VAM12A Gem Brilliant Uncirculated/MS65 Morgan US Silver Dollar. VAM12A = Doubled Ear Bottom & Doubled Legend, Slanted Date, O/O {Right}, Die Break. Die Break nearly through Mintmark, to the right, straight down into the O in dollar, causing 2 die chips in the “O” in dollar to go along with the die break through the lettering. Die crack through wreath above “LA” in “Dollar”. Die Break/Die Chip upper tip eagles right wing. Rim Cuds Upper Obverse / Lower Obverse (Under 88).Note that Rim Cuds aren’t identifiable under VAM assignments but are used to help identify specific VAM Varieties, including this one in this case.
